For Immediate Release

Oneonta, NY (September 2009) The seeds of Living Tree Botanicals, a luxurious line of botanical skin care for face and body, were planted by a talented green-thumb, a skilled baker and an organic chemist - all enduring personal influences in founder Erin Van Cott's life. The company's intention is to provide artisanal skin care for a modern world, with products that are handmade in small batches in a process inspired by old-world apothecaries and contemporary science alike.

Established in Brooklyn, New York in 2002, Living Tree Botanicals is the culmination of over 7 years of development. Operating under two former company names, Ms. Van Cott maintained an extensive private client base for which she created custom formulations. During this time, the 20 products now being launched under the Living Tree Botanicals brand were perfected. Erin's studies at Parsons School of Design in Manhattan were also brought to bear in the creation of LTB - its classic and clean exterior aesthetic is as appealing as what lies within.

With a focus on environmental responsibility, Living Tree Botanicals eschews secondary packaging in favor of apothecary-style, reusable and recyclable brown glass bottle. The proprietary formulations also emphasize locally sourced and developed organic botanical ingredients. The collection of 20 products includes multi-functional formulations for all ages and skin types, ranging from therapeutic spa-quality treatments, tonics and masks for the face, to luxurious body scrubs and nail oils. A frequently requested line for men, and an LTB re-launch of products for mothers-to-be and babies are currently in the works.

Living Tree Botanicals has created an artisanal face and body care system that is synergistic and dynamic - perfect for life in a modern world. And, with all products retailing for under $50, the company is dedicated to helping you: Love your skin. Love your self. Love your world.

Available at Oneonta Day Spa (NY), Essential Elements Day Spa (Cooperstown, NY), Karma Spa & Boutique (Oneonta, NY), Tay Home (Andes, NY) and Philbrick's Fresh Market (Portsmouth, NH), among others. Products are available via the company's web store: www.livingtreebotanicals.com
