LTB thrives in "Product Junkies Rehab"

They like us, they really like us!

We are proud to say we have survived a 3 product (shea rosehip body butter, limon vert body scrub, sacred skin body oil) vetting by Product Junkies Rehab, a beauty blog created by Jordan and Emily. PJR founders Emily and Jordan left cabinets of conventional beauty brands and formulations behind a few years ago, and haven't looked back. What we noticed right away about their smart, informative and in true "junkie" form, detail orientated approach to the world of natural beauty was a distinct lack of self-righteous, over-earnest (dare we say judgmental?) attitude. Reading their material, which is not without research and knowledge, makes one feel good rather than bad, sane rather than "toxically paranoid", and filled with a desire to reach a little further everyday towards a healthy, inspired lifestyle. In a word, PJR conveys "Balance" - something we strive for in our dead run away from "Perfect". So, here's how it happened: we sent PJR some unsolicited samples, held our breath (not without believing, of course!). Here is what they had to say:

To sum up how we're feeling at LTB today:

It's a big, big world and it's filled with windows of small opportunity, doors of large chance, and seemingly inpenetrable walls. For the past 18 months, we've been knocking on doors (in varying decibels) and banging (mainly our heads!) against walls in an effort to perhaps be seen and maybe heard in an industry filled with both "super-funded" natural skin care giants and PLENTY of tiny and talented artisanal companies similar to LTB.

So, if our absolute delight in and celebration of finally being noticed feels like optimistic overkill, so be it! We realize such attention can be not only fleeting, but fickle, too! Though we love all 20 of our products, we appreciate diversity in taste and sensibility and respect that our clients and beauty reviews will embrace their LTB favorites and find others elsewhere. It's what life, beauty and artisanal skin care in a modern world is all about. Cheers!
